  2. On the Android device, enable Install unknown apps for the file manager or browser you use to open the APK.
  3. Open the APK file and tap Install.
  4. Launch Indranksh Signage Player and grant the permissions it requests (storage, notifications, auto-start).
  5. Choose Online mode to connect to your Cloud Signage dashboard, or Offline mode to play from a USB drive.
Supported hardware: Android TV, Android TV boxes, Android signage players, tablets, and phones running Android 6.0 (API 23) through Android 14+.

4. Registering your first screen

  1. In the dashboard, open the Screens section.
  2. Click Register Device and note the MAC/device ID shown on the Android app's setup screen.
  3. Enter or confirm that ID, then give the screen a name, location, and tenant scope.
  4. Save the registration — the Android app will automatically connect and authenticate.
  5. Once approved, the screen will start receiving its assigned playlist.

5. Uploading & managing content

  1. Open Content Library and click Upload.
  2. Choose your file — supported types include JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WEBM, PDF, and HTML.
  3. Add a name, category, duration, and expiry date if needed.
  4. Click Upload & Activate — the content becomes available to assign to any playlist.

6. Creating playlists & schedules

  1. Go to Playlists, click Create Playlist, and name it.
  2. Select the target screens or screen group, then add content items in the order they should play.
  3. Set a priority level and status (Draft, Scheduled, Active, or Override for emergency broadcasts).
  4. Open Schedules to set the date/time window for when this playlist should run, then save.

Typical use cases: morning welcome loops, lunchtime promotions, evening campaigns, and instant emergency override broadcasts that automatically return to normal playback afterward.

7. Screen groups

Use Screen Groups to organize devices by site, department, or region — for example Main Lobby, Retail Store 1, Reception Area, or Cafeteria — so you can assign content to an entire group instead of one device at a time.

8. Offline / USB playback mode

  1. Format a USB drive and create a folder named iepl at its root.
  2. Copy supported media files into that folder.
  3. Insert the USB drive into the Android device — the app detects it automatically and plays from it.
  4. When the network is available again, switch back to Online mode to resume cloud-managed playback and automatic sync.

9. Monitoring & reports

From the dashboard you can check device online/offline status, storage/RAM/CPU health, remote restart a screen, take a remote screenshot, and view playback/proof-of-play reports by screen or location.
